Good morning/evening/night to everyone here. I’m Wavy, a Junior Moderator on HavocMC. The purpose of this post is to explain and address some of the recent drama and issues that have been plaguing the forums as of late, along with some future changes. I will proceed to discuss Mine Wars, the demotion privacy statement, staff tension and the new Staff Team 2.0! If you would like to respond below, please be sure to be respectful, positive and constructive. We are open to suggestions, so feel free to respectfully voice your opinions in the comment section below.
We’ll start with Mine Wars! For the past week, moderation time on Minewars has been increased dramatically. There has been over a 15 hour boost to average moderation time. That's real dedication from the staff team! We'd like to thanks the players for addressing the lack of Mine Wars moderation time. After the TMD update, Mine Wars will be the next in line to receive more attention and future updates. Just note, if more players start playing on it, it’ll gradually improve the Mine Wars playerbase, making it more likely to get even more attention from staff and more updates. This is due to logical reasoning - we are trying to please the majority and if Mine Wars becomes more of a majority, it will receive more attention. But hey, that doesn’t mean you should leave TMD hangin!' Maybe try spacing your time out for about an hour per day on Mine Wars? It’s for the best of the community and you get to be in two worlds instead of one. That's double the fun! Other than Mine Wars, both Horizons and Map Maker will also be getting updates in the near future, hip hip hurray to the owners for making this happen.
Next, we’ll discuss the staff tension which has occurred recently. This is regarding a staff situation where interpretation was controversial without the context behind the issue. The drama caused by it was accidental as the situation was thought to be private. The document including the situation was created to explain the situation to the relevant staff members and unfortunately got leaked by other people who stumbled across it by accident. The reason this caused drama was because it was thought that the topic being discussed was regarding a completely different situation that was irrelevant to the actual content of the document. We apologize for this drama, but would like you to know that the situation was promptly dealt with!
Lastly, it’s time to introduce everyone to our new plan in the works: HavocMC Staff Team 2.0! The staff team will be restructured and reworked in order to provide players with increased efficiency and reliability towards the staff team. This will also help to minimize staff tensions and make HavocMC a happier place in general! Other than that, we will aim to improve the relationship between the staff team and the players in order to provide a better and more enjoyable playing environment for the players. If you have any suggestions on how to improve staff-player relationships, feel free to post them below! We are very interested in hearing your ideas.
