An Unfortunate Winter's Day
The brittle air struck my nose with an icy winter effect
The crystals shaped my eyes and my lashes turned white
I managed to form clouds of perfection as I watched the breath escape my mouth and drift into the air
My now exhilaratingly numb body brought me dumbfounded as I rested in the heap of white dust
The snow under me was so light, it rose from the ground
My vision caught a somewhat distinct object under my delirious state
Dim lamp posts stood by the ice rink of a road from which I groped offside
The car was the brightest of the setting, yet stood camouflaged from the desolate area
I reckoned snow was filled of joy and wonders
I recall at the age of five, my imagination was wild
Snowmen came to life at my extent
Snow angels were as magnificent as bride gowns
From the time of contemplation in my bed of weariness
My attempt to stand and venture to a hospital failed ever so greatly
My limp body fell like spaghetti the moment I took a step
I remained cradled in the freezing snow wondering if anyone would know
The numbness shot through my body at last
A cocoon of frost gently slid over my body
Winter brings me confusion, how it goes from a car ride with magical stories to being swallowed in the land
My frozen eyes locked onto the trees, and after a slight snow breeze, I was asleep
