    Guns
One of the things that makes The Mining Dead so much different than other Minecraft servers is it's use of 3D guns without using a mod. Guns come in multiple categories: Pistols, Shotguns, Assault Rifles, SMGs, Snipers, LMGs, Specials, and Legendries. Each category has multiple guns, and the guns are tiered based off of how strong they are. You can make any gun more accurate by scoping/sighting with left click. Right click to fire.

Pistols: One handed guns that have low clip capacities, and deal low damage. However, clips for pistols are very common and reload times are quick.

Shotguns: One handed guns that spray multiple pellets with very low accuracy. Do lots of damage close up. Shells are loaded one at a time, as opposed to a whole clip at a time

Assault Rifles: Two handed fully automatic guns with decent accuracy and moderate damage. Assault Rifles can also be crafted with a Red Dot Sight to make them more accurate.

SMGs: Dulled down Assault Rifles that do less damage but can be held with one hand.

Snipers: Two handed. Heavy damage guns with slow reload time but very long range. Clip sizes are low. Either comes with a scope, or a scope can be crafted on.

LMGs: One of two guns with very high capacity clips. The Steyr AUG will take a scope, and the M60 will take a Red Dot Sight.

Specials: One of two guns. A crossbow, with medium range and high damage (and reusable bolts), and an RPG that does more damage the closer the shot hits.

Legends: Special guns that do not drop if you die. Some do special effects like poison, fire, or blindness in addition to very high damage.

    Melees
There are over 20 different melees. Which melee you chose depends on personal preference. They either have slow, medium, or fast attack times, and all do a special effect of either bleed, concussion, or both. Bleed makes you take damage over time - sometimes to the point of death, and concussion makes your screen spin.

    Food & Water
Food & Water are essential to survival.

Your EXP bar is your thirst bar in TMD. It starts at 100 and ticks down every once in a while as you become more thirsty. At 50, you will get a warning message. At 10, you start to take damage. At 0, you die. To prevent this, there are water bottles. Every time you drink a bottle, it refills your thirst to 100 no matter what level you're at. To refill an empty bottle, right click with it in your hand on a water block or a cauldron. The cauldron does not need to have water in it. If you eat soup, it will bring your thirst up 15 ticks.
    Food
There's multiple food items, but the best ones are Cans of Beans and Soup. If you kill a wild animal or catch a fish with a net, you can eat it raw but there's a chance it will poison you. It's recommended to cook it in a furnace/oven with coal first.

    Dun Dun Duuunn The Walkers
Walkers are the reason you're here. The goal is to survive the zombie apocalypse. Walkers will die instantly with a headshot from any gun or melee, but will also die if they're damaged enough.
If a walker hits you, there is a chance it will bite you in the arm or the leg. You will need to amputate quickly or use antibiotics. To amputate, shift and right click with a sharp weapon like a knife, axe, machete, or katana. (note: The dull knife is not a sharp weapon). If you use an antibiotic, it will heal you from the infection instantly. If you do not amputate or cure yourself before time runs out, the infection will spread and you'll be doomed. If you have been bit in the arm or leg and get bit again, you will be bit in the neck. Again, doomed.
    Arm
If you amputate your arm, you cannot use 2 handed guns.
    Leg
If you amputate your leg, you will have permanent slowness, unless you equip a prosthetic leg. If you have amputated either the arm or leg, you cannot be bit again.

    Town Compass
Right click with a compass to track the nearest town. If you are ever lost, this is a great way to get un-lost.

GOOD LUCK, SURVIVOR. YOU'RE GONNA NEED IT.
