  • Food. Why so common?

Food is way to easy to find, it is in every house you loot and takes away from the apocalyptic feel. it is not often that i find myself struggling to find food. if food were more rare and almost impossible to find (except in Atlanta) then looting would be more important and there would be more fights in Atlanta. berry bushes would be a nice little addition as well. More ppl will resort to hunting animals and picking berries. You would actually have a point to kill ppl instead of just for fun. Also maggie at the safe zones would actually have a purpose. i think that this small detail would bring in that survival feel. Also, does anyone else think it is strange to find a perfectly good cooked potato in a house that has been abandoned for years? more food items like food bars, more canned food, soda cans, and even rotten food would be a last resort for your food supply. Tactical Bacon, Tactical Sammich, or MRE's (found in military loot bags or purchased from maggie) would be a great op food item for the op players ;)

Can't wait to see the change on that topic in the next update, as I feel the same way ;). For now, as a suggestion, why not fishing? It's a well and uncommon RP option who work pretty well!

Totally forgot about fishing! Ppl would start fishing more aswell, I think they should improve it to the actual rod.

i do see ur point about the whole apocalyptic feeling but i dont think its should be almost impossible to find outside of atlanta. But i also fear that this will turn atlanta into a huge killfarm for the stronger players. Personally i tend to avoid atlanta as i find it quite camped and it is often where all the very strong players are (in wars for example).

and i also agree about the potatoes..

you have a good point with Atlanta being a slaughterhouse, i do still think that food should be REALLY hard to find (houses should have been looted at the start of apocalypse) and easy to find in Atlanta. but there are other ways to get food if they don't wanna risk it in Atlanta, ppl could go fishing or hunting to get food instead of fighting in Atlanta or just buy it at SZs.
i am not really a strong player myself, but i would love the idea of Atlanta being a war zone and having to fight over food. looting would be way more important as well. right now, after looting 2 houses i don't need to loot again for another day or two.

yeah it would make it way more realistic.. but i also think it would scare off some new players. U know, players who doesnt know the map or the game in general. imagine this: u just found the server and joined it. u join ur first TMD game and ur like woooow guns. then u start and spawn somewhere completely random and u keep dying of hunger. then u ragequit and never come back.

but i generaly like ur idea, i just think it needs something else... idk what tho

it would be a big change, and definentaly needs some more thinking. what if every "free" kit had a couple cans of food, because only new players and non ranked players use those kits

hmm.. that could be a solution, but it should be food in all the kits in my opinion... just because we have special kits doesnt mean we arent hungry ;).
But anyway im still not quite sure about having all the food in Atlanta tho.

About that? I've already got a crate kit once, but can't remember which one. My question is does this kit stay unlocked, or are a 1 time only (free) use?
Able to use all the time, if ur still a survivor, the kits are great to get from voting crates
