Havoc Cop - Quitting

Havoc Cop = Content Cop, Don't say I copied I already know.

The amount of players continuously bashing staff on every little miss step or quitting and then making a big deal out of it is ridiculous! I don't get the reason for quitting and then posting it, there are only a couple of things that come from it.

1. Arguments

First off, this is quite simple to understand that your thread depicting how bad the staff is or how crap the server is just going to cause drama and fighting. The people who make these threads thirst for attention they so badly want but will never get without throwing a fit.

2. ALL OUT FRICKING WAR

To just source this, it has happened before. Early this year a staff member iHank/iHonk was released from staff, one player decided to put that he was quitting because the of it. The guy claimed the staff had become corrupt and had lost all good values it previously had. Many people sided with staff and many sided with him. Basically it became one of the most viewed threads of all time on the website, he must have bathed in that attention.

3. Attention

Maybe you get a few "Awe! gonna miss ya!" or "Please don't leave!". Does that make you feel good? That you are "quitting" a server based on the walking dead in game where everything is blocks gets you few "sad" people over you throwing a fit? Grow the hell up.

4. Nobody Cares!

Now anyone can post what they want and you have the right to post what you want, but doesn't mean people have to care. Then you have to mouth off on other threads to get attention.

5. The Reposting

When you can't draw enough attention to satisfy yourself you must repost! Of course! Why wouldn't you, ya know. Leave? If you wanna quit there is no need for a thread, just say bye and log off.

I cannot count the times I’ve seen people say they’re quitting, then return a day later.

It gives me a good chuckle when I see “OG” players (claiming you’re OG doesn’t make me suddenly care more about what you have to say over others, what a shocker I know) freaking out that we aren’t appeasing to their every waking desire. When their personal needs are not met they attack us, and it’s honestly so stupid.

Directed to everyone who thinks it’s all about themselves, it’s not. Wake the hell up and realize you aren’t the only person who plays on Havoc. If you aren’t personally pleased by what we do and want to complain to high hell about how “the staff team is corrupt” or “staff don’t even try” then good for you, but I honestly don’t care.

Most People's claims of being OG are inaccurate, they really want is attention or something to boast about to newbies. If you think your an OG contribute, stop talking **** since anyone behind a screen can talk ****. The Real OG's are still out there but most of them are too old to play Minecraft and decided to retire the game... Either way @RoccoGotMemes this was a quality post about TMD cancer, but being a cop also requires to purge people like this out of the community, are you up for that?

Wonderful thread! I couldn't agree more. It's become tiring, all these "quitting" posts. Yo, Declan! If you're gunna quit, don't come back a week later, we don't care about you anymore.... wait... does that mean.. You're "irrelevant"??

Anyway, all salt aside, I think this is a nice shoutout to the annoying player base, specifically the one who claim to be OG and write lengthy threads about how everything sucks (these are the people who rarely suggest meaningful ideas, btw). I have been here since the "og" days as well. I personally think the server is still going strong, but yes there are some minor things that could be improved. Still, it's alive and thriving so, I say we keep our spirits high!

In point #3, you're getting pissed at people for trying to get attention, yet the main goal of this very post is to get attention. You're trying to get the attention of quit posters to get them to stop. In fact, the point of any forums post ever is to get attention in one way or another. If you don't like paying attention to things, get off the damn forums.

Didn't you say yourself that the people who make the quitting posts just show up on the server again after a while? Well, regardless of that, what makes you think you have enough social power to control what people say and do? People who want to quit will quit, and those people who want to explain why they quit will explain why they quit. Disowning a community is a big decision, and one person moaning about everyone else isn't gonna have a huge impact on those people. Not to mention, you don't exactly have a high social status on this server. As for your complaint that I am replying late, yes I am a bit late. I don't constantly check the forums for new stuff. A close friend of mine told me about this ruckus you're making on the forums and that's when I decided to take the ****.

I don't think I have that power (though that'd be pretty cool) my job once again is to say "Hey look this is stupid, don't do it." because in all honesty many people need that wake up call.
