The last time I interacted with this server was about 3 years ago, and now there's about 25 players on. Is this server dead or not?

It's not dead, there's just less players on nowadays. This most recent actually bumped the player count up from what it was.

The server dropped a massive amount of players. It ranged from pvp mechanics (in my opinion) and pvp related updates, a loss in interest for Minecraft itself, and other factors that would take too long to explain. The server is dead from what I can see, no offense to the sever. I'm hoping the updated mentioned will bring more players. @TriggerfulPotato

Hi. Welcome Back by the way. To answer your question, no the server is not dead. We recently had a rearrangement of management here at Havoc allowing us to get more things done quicker. Due to some unforseen bugs, the average player count has temporarily dropped but we hope that it will soon return to normal, hopefully with more players than normal... once we work out the kinks.

It could be much worse. We could be back where we were before, averaging less than 20 players online. Or we could be receiving no income.

Try to be optimistic people. We're not exactly back at the 1.7 glory days, but we're rising from our wreckage and making do with what we have.

The server isn't dead. If the server was "dead" then that would mean that no players would be playing on it. That's just my opinion, however, it does have a low player count.

Many people have school and work. Think about this through reality and day to day life. some players want to get on, but they can't because they have an event/school/work etc

School and work isn't a new thing, lol. If that were the case then it would have consistently had low numbers throughout the years. The reality is that Minecraft as a whole has been dying off - like every hit does within a decade. Just give Fortnite another 10 years.

About MC dying, it's made a HUGE comeback, and is now the most sold video game in the world, topping Tetris. I think the issue is TWD and the fact that the generation that thoroughly enjoyed i has either finished all the episodes, grew up, or just lost interest in the show in general. Not to mention, the older generation of the server has kinda graduated to real life, or Hytale (rip JB and Ky).
