I have an idea for sort of team/group based idea for Mining Dead. This idea is like how the TV show operates. Its quite simple. Its similar to Hell night, but instead there are "groups" like Prison, Woodburry, Saviors, Terminus, Kingdom, and etc. Every group spawns at their home base like the Prison and etc. You choose a kit like Rick, Maggie, and etc. You have 20 minutes to prepare and get ready in your home base with your team. After 20 minutes ends, you can start leaving your base and either gather supplies from outside sources or attack other groups. You can form defenses with barricades or make traps with barbed wire or play aggressive and attack. This is a very raw idea and leave suggestions below. Thanks.

This idea reminds me of when Banner Wars was released. With Banner Wars, you were supposed to mine ores to get money which you would use to purchase items from the npc that sold weapons/armor and blocks. The objective of the gamemode was to eliminate all the other teams by capturing their banner and bringing it back to your base. Once grace period ended you could build to the other team's islands and attack them. Before the game started, you were able to select a class and upgrade it (similar to what they have on Hell Night).

    Cool concept nonetheless though.

Isn't twenty minutes a bit too long? I'm sure that most players would be bored by then and the game wouldn't of even started it could go on for hours.

Love this idea, though I agree with having a shorter time period. It sounds a bit like how Hellnight is TMD meets Hunger games, this would be a bit like TMD meets Walls. :) Nice idea though. I'd play it.

Banner Wars was removed due to the fact that it couldn't keep a stable playerbase or a playerbase for that matter.

To add onto what Culpeo said, this is a cool concept but not likely to work. Staff should be focusing on making sure TMD/MineWars are up to par (the new TMD map still isn't fully finished, MineWars is still buggy and requires many updates).

Introducing new gamemodes like this would require long hours of work and effort from the Owners/Developer, and your hypothetical gamemode would need to maintain a stable playerbase (which isn't assured). The concept is interesting but not feasible for the moment.

    Thanks for the suggestion,

True, but he didn't say when it should be added. This could be a cool project to work on once MW and TMD are fixed.

Yes, it's a cool idea and I won't dispute that. However if the Owners decided to go through with this idea, it would probably be in the far future (I'm thinking May/June at the earliest).

This is because Mine Wars is still in Open Beta and will likely take a while to fully release (Ex. New Planets, space, etc.). "New Gamemode" suggestions will probably be put on the backburner till then.

Are they adding Corellia (the planet with all of the forests, where the rebel base was?)

My favorite part of that post was chsnges

For banner wars to really be popular (tmd status) there would need to be multiple lobbies so there would be less overall wait time

Agreed, no one wants to sit there for an hour waiting for someone's game to finish just so you can play.
