How about an anecdote to start off? One day, I found a musical artist named Randy Newman who, in my opinion, makes good music. I wanted to tell my fellow Mine Wars patrons about Randy Newman, but as soon as I enter his name in, "randy" is censored. This feature of the swear filter can also be inconvenient if a player's username contains Randy, or if one of two friends who know each other in real life calls the other friend Randy because that's their name. I feel that un-censoring the word randy will fix these problems, and there will likely be no need to worry about people calling each other "randies" because that has not ever happened. Quite frankly, the swear filter is probably educating people that "randy" can be a derogatory term, and if "randy" was not censored people probably would not even know that.
So please, developers, open your hearts to the Randy's out there, and un-censor the word "randy".
