  • #Redistribute Justice After The Hacker is Banned

I have created the new # #Redistribute it is for Justice after each time a hacker is banned because many including myself know about how gear isn't redistributed to those who lost it when a hacker killed them.
The point of my # is so that if someone gets killed by a hacker and says #Redistribute after the hacker is banned people need to dedicate some in game money etc... to redistribute gear to the victims of that hacker.
earlier I was killed by a hacker in full juggernaut and yes I got mad but after you know what I did? I Gave away a set of jugg to someone else. and called my actions #Redistribute I recorded it all and I think every time someone gets the chance they too should use this # and record it if they can. I will comment the videos link when it uploads to youtube and remember always #Redistribute

The hackers don't get banned, don't you realize?

They use 1) timers to kick them every so interval
    2) an ip scrambler and gen
    Or
    3) an altgen

Not only can he not be permbanned by this, if he does get banned he can hop back in a fresh acct.

I think the hackers do it as a message to HavocMC, that the anticheat has to be fixed (I know it's being worked on)

I agree with you the anticheat does need to be fixed but that's not my cause right now

Hackers should be ip banned if they are caught and convicted of hacking twice, and the first should be a temp ban, depending on the severity

I've been working on my own custom Anti Cheat. I haven't found a client that can bypass its speed check so far, but I still need to add more. Hopefully I can release it soon.
Will it kick people on bikes?

To begin with, I would like to praise this post! I think this is a wonderful idea - but it does have a few downfalls. Unfortunately, HavocMC does have a few immature players who will try and get anything that they can from anyone. If one of these players dies legitimately, they will likely post #Redistribute in chat to get money and gear even though they didn't die to a hacker. Some of these people will even spam you (asking for more gear and money) if you happen to be one of the lovely people willing to repay them. The overall idea of this is great though, because some players get upset when they die to a hacker and insist that staff members repay them, knowing full well that there isn't anything we can do about it unless we have evidence. Even then, we usually don't reimburse the player because most staff ranks would have to use their own personal gear to give to the player - and as we don't have any special perks, we find it just as hard to find gear as everyone else does. Sometimes it's just something impossible to do.

In response to some of the other player's comments, IP-banning wouldn't really give the best results. IP-banning obviously only blocks that particular IP. If the hackers realise that they have been IP-banned, then they might go to the trouble of using an IP-scrambler or similar programs. There is no way that we could keep track of that (that I know of), so it would make finding hackers impossible. If we continue to just ban players while they use the same IP, it is much easier to track them and enforce their deserving ban. If we were to IP-ban, I think that there would be an increase in the amount of hackers which is clearly not what you want. Just a little food for thought. Once again, great idea and relatively well thought out! It is very positive and I love your way of thinking. c:

Yea... Just ralized ip banning is not the best method of dealing with hackers. Once i get inf, ( in a million years) i will be giving free gear from the npc shops to whoever wants it. Excluding hackers and bug abusers, ill practically be giving evrey person who wants gear full riot and tier 4 guns, with a halfstack of the reapective ammo. But for now, i can give anyone who asks a ride to wherever im going or whetever i can come up with of extra gear. Finally, ill make a big celebratory post if i do get inf money (wich will probs be never)

That's extremely thoughtful of you, but I don't think you should do that too often. It would take away a lot of the fun in being in a post-apocalyptic world, where you have to survive using your own raw skill and wits, or forming everlasting friendships with other survivors. If each player got great weapons right off the start, what's the point of even exploring? Everyone would have the same loot already, blasting each other to shreds, then come back to you right after just so they can do the same thing over again without having to go through the experience of fending for themselves or the consequence of death. If there's no more goal to get something in-game because they easily got it in a safe zone, then what's the purpose of even being in the server in the first place?

Don't get me wrong, I know you're intentions are in good nature, but I just think it's a good idea. I don't have Infinite Money, but I have enough cash in-game to fill over 30 enderchests worth of weapons, armor, food, and medications. I admit, I even get lazy and too dependent on vendors that if I die, I shrug it off and just go to Berx to rebuy everything I lost. That's why I don't think it's a good idea to get players hooked on an idea that they can just get free handouts every time they lose something.

I know that might be OP, so whenever i do this, i like activate a "mental cooldown", like when you repeatedly die and you cant tp to sz'es? Its like when i give someone stuff i remember their name and dont give them stuff for like a day or two, or maybe even a couple of hours if im felling nice

Yeah Guys Wait Ago for getting in the spirit and yes there are some immature players that's why you have to have a witness, and it cant have happened more than 3-4 days ago.
Also I am having trouble with this because I have been Perm Muted For having to many warnings on me and my appeal was denied so I will be trying again in a month or so but I want to continue #Redistribute so if anyone can skype to basically speak for me or something of that sort I would highly appreciate that or any other help.
