Alright so, in my thought process as well as having a discussion with some other players on TMD-3. I think that a few ideas of mine could work well, or crash and burn like ****.
#1: Weighted Armor. So I think this idea makes a lighter armor setup actually valued. Basically what I'm thinking here is if you wear something lighter like Military or Leather (I think it's still Leather, Idk anymore) you can move much faster. [I also think that you could do something akin to how it works in PAYDAY 2 where if you wear lighter armor you can both move faster and have a Dodge chance. They also do this in the McMMO plugin where you have a dodge percentage to reduce damage, but in PAYDAY 2 it removes damage completely. So anyhow, how the dodge would work is if you are on a PVP server, you can dodge a bullet depending on the armor you are or are not wearing or dodge a walker's attack, similar to pushing it away but just negating it completely.] The higher tiered armors like Riot and Jugg basically become a slow, tanky type setup that are more for the people who can get hit by a zombie but don't take nearly as much damage. It has it's ups and downs, maybe the jugg and riot can be buffed in certain ways to make them a bit better like better damage blockage or what not.
#2: Cars. Don't get me wrong, cars are amazing in every way. But I think that we should just eliminate having multiple colors of cars because that's a waste of saplings. Instead, make a truck type of car that can hold more people in back. Or make a motorcycle that's more like the biker type of thing, like a Hell's Angel type bike or a Harley, to give them a more badass feel and make them look better. I've heard the idea of tanks and helicopters which I think are stupid so don't even consider those, really. But the potential of cars is wasted if you just have different colors instead of different types.
#3: Attachments. So basically what I'm thinking here is including attachments that are actually useful to players. Like a flashlight attachment, so you don't have to choose between an AR(Assault Rifle) or a flashlight. I know that you could use one with a pistol but pistols don't pack that punch, y'know? And also, making the Red Dot sight and Scope sights look better. The Red Dot is almost useless and I really only use it for the sights of weapons that aren't very good for actually looking through so I don't really see the point in them. If anyone else has some ideas to chip in for other attachments like a grenade launcher, feel free to pitch in.
#4: Hunger & Thirst. These already need a fix because they go down incredibly fast in my opinion, but what I'm proposing here is that more like IRL, once you eat and drink you're sated for a while. That way when you do get hungry and thirsty you do it at a much faster rate, so you stay well-fed and hydrated for a little longer.
#5: Some loose ideas. So one of the ideas I heard just this night is that we include more LMGs, because that category really is lacking. We only have one legitimate LMG let's be honest. The M60 is the only thing we got, the Streygr or whatever it is isn't an LMG, it's more of an AR. I think that's a pretty good idea to be honest. A parachute is something else I've heard as well because it'd make jumping from buildings a good escape. I personally also think that we should have an increased area in which the zombies can hear you shooting so that they flock to you, meaning that using more melee weapons is a good idea. Idk about the silencers that people would want with that though. Maybe also a skill type plugin that gives you benefits for doing things a certain way, but I have my doubts about that and how well it'd work. *As an afterthought, I think that the climbing gates thing should be that it can only be 2 blocks up, not one.
Conclusion: So I'm hoping that the stuff and players really like these ideas because they really have huge drawbacks and upsides to them, but we'll see what everyone thinks.
