Surprised....but not really.

So I decided to fire up minecraft and remember this place that used to have so much fun on, most of the time. I remember I left because staff took some of my feedback as personal insults and some things were said, but I never imagined it would get this bad. When I left this server it had 500 ppl in the day and at least 200 at night. Other's even tried to rip TMD off shamelessly with hodge-podge wanna be TWD servers. I come back tonight to only see under 100 players on across all of the maps. I'm greeted by a player that believes she's seeing a ghost and explains to me what's been going on. All the staff member I knew, except for 1 or 2, apparently have left. They had pretty good positions after a promo right before I left.

I was even asked to come back, but I was still irritated. Maybe I should have. I voiced many times, many concerns that could cause problems regarding staff, regulations, players, etc. But since I'm a stupid adult, it was assumed I knew nothing. I don't want to flat out say I told you so, but I did warn some of the staff that a mess was inbound. It was foretold I would never ever return here to speak to the players and staff but I figured enough time had passed to come back and see the beautiful and updated TMD that would be awaiting me.

Ok, now that I got that off my chest, I'd like to know what happened here? This was one of the most successful servers of it's kind. Seeing it like this is like returning from overseas to find Ford motor company building cars in their garages. How the heck did an empire like this topple? I really was looking forward to returning and seeing some old friends. Now 99.9% of them have apparently left. It's not my place to demand an answer but I really, really would like one...and to see if there might be anything I can do to possiblly help. After all, that's what I wanted to do in the first place.

Anyways, sorry for the "I told you so," but I did tell some people still here this server was going to do this if things didnt change, I'm still willing to offer my experience if it's wanted.

A lot has happened since you left.

1 or 2 months after you left there was a gigantic reset that cause about 1/4 of the server to quit.

A new gamemode called HavocMC Horizons, which is a skyblock gamemode, was added.

There was a rank update that changed all the ranks prior to the update to 4 ranks: VIP, Champion, Legend, and Titan. There is also a mysterious rank that players like Jahango and Risen_God have called Mythical. It is unknown how to obtain it, but there are no features that this rank gets.

Many staff members, such as Culpeo_Fox, JewishBagel, and EmiliaWu were either demoted or quit.

Soon after the reset occurred, it made painkillers unspamable and infinite money have a 130,000 dollar limit each day. These were removed in a new gamemode called OP TMD. However, if you did like how PvP was before the reset, I recommend not to start playing on OP TMD, because it will soon merge with regular TMD. When it does, painkillers will not have a cooldown and infinite money will not have a daily cap. For people that like the current PvP like me, there will be 1 or 2 new servers called TMD Realism. They will be the like the current TMD servers.

Several new things to the forums were added, such as the Changelog where you can see updates and when the happened. Its so players can see Havoc's progress. The other addition was the Stats page. The stats page will list the top 50 players on either TMD or Hell Night of a certain category.

That's just some of the things that have been/ will be added. I hope you stay Sarge, as you were probably one of the most kind players on the server until you left.

A brief overview........
-A new update came which many people were mad about
-They created OP TMD for those that liked the old TMD
-OP TMD did not turn out to be as glorious as old TMD once was
-People started quitting such as players that have been around for years (such as me or Kyorashi + many many more)
-They server slowly kept dying to the point where servers (within the network) would have 0-3 people on at night time
-Now they're trying to make a new update that will hopefully bring back the glory days... We'll see what happens

to see you too helloman. Yeah, a lot of the people I knew are gone. It really saddens me because despite the problem with hackers, there were many many people on at all times to game with. Resets are inevitable as nothing lasts forever. This should be known and understood by every player. That session had a long and good term but all things must come to an end in order to begin again. It's very, very common for new beginnings to cause unwanted side effects or changes and it takes time to make corrections. But this server is resilient and the owners, devs and builders are dedicated and talented. They will get things back in order and back how most people liked it. I heard that the Star Wars release wasn't so popular. That really disappoints me as it looked to be so promising and fun. I know staff poured months into it and being a SW nerd I was very hyped.

IIRC, the store had to be retrofitted to abide by the Mojang EULA? I know that a lot of servers took hits from that. I haven't really decided if I'm going to play on the server's yet. or just hang around the forums. But if anyone wants to catch up with me I will be online. It's great to see all of you again. And it could be worse! We have that to be thankful for. Just remember to listen to the staff. They have reasons for things they do. And of course support the devs and builders and don't throw bombs in SZ's please

Nice to have you back! Just about 2-3 weeks after you left i started having kore and more finals, tests, and pther school stuff, so i had to leave just until about now, as most of my tests are over. Also, I noticed Cupelo was demoted! Anone mind filline me up? (And whatever else has been going on after i left) Thanks guys!

I have a suggestion, I dunno if it's been done already, but as we all know most of the players don't use the forums. That mean's they don't post any ideas or complaints. Then they are upset when a change happens. We can force them here but we could ask them for feedback. Write it down then re-post it here on the forums. Doing this would encompass more of the player bases' likes and dislikes and help nick and the others make a fix that players can "live" with. I know nick and the others have an agenda and a plan on what to do next, but what if it isn't what most of the players want? I've heard about the G Barrett. I know about pills not being spam-able and how a lot of players seem to not want them to become spam-able again. I will post more in the appropriate thread.

Nice seeing you back, I believe I've seen you ingame a few times. xD I agree with the idea that you've stated here. On previous servers I've been to, you have to make a forum account in order to be white-listed. I know that isn't exactly what the staff would be interested in doing, but maybe something similar. Maybe a message pop up when you try to join the server stating that you need to go to (Such n such website,) get a forum account, and once you have the name on your forum account linked up to your ingame name should allow you to join! Plus I wonder if this would prevent the hackers more often. If the hackers are still as they used to be like that "exo" (whatever his name was, I don't remember) kid, then they would not only have to get their accounts setup, they would have to get a new forum account as well.

Perhaps any inactive forum account for maybe two months or so would be removed, but you could easily renew it later on by setting it back up to the same email and password, and only you could renew it because only you would know how to check the email for the info to renew that forum account. I know this probably will not be added or put into consideration, but its just a thought. xD

Again though, I do like the idea of people having to make a forum account and being asked to post feedback, because that's what this server needs. Another thing I'd like to point out is that maybe the server isn't as bad as some may think? If the owners and such aren't as freaked out about it as we are, they either don't care because it isn't as big of a life-threatening situation as some might make it out to be, or they don't think that its a big deal. And their final say in it is what we have to pay attention to. They might not be doing these updates just to please the public, but rather to say "This is the direction we want HavocMC to go in. This is what we have wanted for Our server, and we hope that you will be a part of it. If not, we enjoyed having you here!"

Sorry if this was considered inappropriate for this thread. I just wanted to say my bit. Besides, who doesn't like very long messages? By the time they're done reading they have a new stylish shade of grey in their hair! How awesome is that?

I think something like this should be added, but I don't think that needing one to play is necessary. What I think should happen is that there are benefits to having a forum account, like you get skulls upon killing players and zombies.
