Hey guys, hope you're having a wonderful day. I just wanted to bring in a post about 1 idea I had and another I would like to touch on from a post I read earlier today. Thanks @davismk3 for the general idea of the quests. Here's the link to his post, https://havocmc.net/threads/improvements.4144/ (He had some great ideas, I'm only touching on the biggest one I saw in his post.) Lets get into it then.
Black Market:
This part is going to be hard to explain, but I'll do my best. The basic idea, I believe you should be able to have a location on the map, and buy things others put up for sell. (Pretty much AH on Horizons, but more realistic for TMD.) I also suggest making it a safe area on PvP servers, or at least if you kill someone in that zone, it takes 100k from the killer. If they don't have 100k, the best I can say is to have their inventory cleared. I'd like to see this location somewhere like a bunker. Imagine just walking into a bunker, and buying things unavailable at safe-zone's. Some might argue there would be nothing to see at a Black Market, what about Jugg, Legendary Weapons, and not to mention duffles which everyone is looking for on PvE servers. This makes everything 10x easier to sell or buy items. Also, just to put it out there for the people wondering, it would be a NPC for the black market. I'd also like to add this would save staff the time of dealing with scammers. Anyways, that's all I got for this subject.
Quest:
Anyone here ever played a Fallout Game? Remember the Side-Quest? To me, that was always the best part of the games. Just running around, exploring the map, do weird things for strangers. That's sort of what I want to do for TMD. There are multiple ways you could do this, I'll start off with the unrealistic one. Commands to start a random quest. A command such as "/quest start" will activate a random quest. Also possible way, is sorta like a fallout shelter way. Go to a specific location, and start a quest. My favorite way would be to have Random NPC's around the map, upon which once you find them you can start a quest. If you were to try and do it another way, it would almost ruin the point of quest. I personally can't see the way of doing a Main TMD quest line.
Anyways, thanks for reading this guys. If you'd like to comment or state your opinion, I'd love to see it. Have a great day guys.
