I am here to make this post I’ve been wanting to do long time before.

I will start by telling you guys the truth about my demotion.

Things happened weeks before I was demoted. I was a new helper, determined to help people. I have been hearing stories about some players who are “rude and disrespect” towards staff members, and I encountered one of them later. Jahango was the player I met. Before our fight, he was targeted on me for falsely warning one of his teammates. I apologized and got a Jr. mod to remove the warning, but he continued to target on me. I confronted him, said things like “do u think we are not people as staff members? You refuse to give us the attention and respect we deserve and u don’t treat us like people” After the argument, the owner, at least 2 sr mods along with other staffs got on the server immediately when I logged off. The whole arguments resulted in me being forced to apologize publicly and also for the mistakes I made. I was later being commented as “immature and can not control my feelings”, even when my first intention of fighting with Jahango is to protect and stand up for the staff team.


After the Jahango incident I was disappointed at the staff team. The team refused to stand up for a single staff member who was just trying to stand up for them, and instead of protecting the staffs they decided to let me apologize in order to finish the argument. After my disappointment, I found another group of wonderful people, also know as the myth team. Myth, being one of the biggest pvp teams in the mining dead, is completely not what I expected it would be. I’ve heard things within the staff team about how toxic the team is, and I also know that myth has been targeted by the staff team. After joining the team, I began to participate in pvp wars, and these wars created such a feeling on me that I started to think from the player’s sides and look through the player’s eyes. I saw how unfair things can be, and I started to act out of rules because rules do not equal humanity.


Multiple offenses of me acting out of line and protecting players created attention within higher staffs. 1-2 weeks after the team’s attacks to the new and also irresponsible helper, Mackiee, I was being notified that I only have one last chance to “control myself”. It was Monday evening and Katitude was the Sr. mod that notified me. The following Tuesday, when I was in class and was not able to react to server-related topics, I received the last information from the owner, Nick, said that I’ve been demoted because disrespect to players and staff members in game. Later, when I was in teamspeak with one of the Jr.Mods, PeachDaBoss, he commented “Emily, don’t act like you are the victim. You are not. You have been giving so many chances but you give them up. You get yourself demoted.”


Even after my demotion, things continued to occur. My friends get targeted, one of the get banned on forum when trying to defend me from another player who commented me as “disgusting” and “shameful”. Reports towards Mackiee and also other staffs keeps popping out on the forum, while half of those who reported was been told to “solve it privately”.


I’ve been in the staff team for almost 2 months. 2/14/17 was the date I was demoted. I kept remembering the day when I was accepted, when I said to Introversion, the Sr. mod who interviewed me, “Honesty is what I valued the most.”


Honesty. I ask you, the following staff members. Can you put your hand on the bible and swear to God you’ve been acting following what you have said in your applications?


They say people always think about others like they way they think about themselves. You guys said I’m just salty about my demotion, about losing the power. You guys think I care about my power too much…


Staffs, the helpers, the mods, even the admins, those who considers my action of fighting back as an act of immature: even when all of my comments under “Havoc, what is going on??” and my own posts are using clearly stated evidences and also being respectful, why still ignore these voices? Why still hide behind the fancy powers and refuse to recognize the corruptions, the ignorance, the truth? Who is being immature?

I would like to say that staff have been very rude to people without ranks. The staff won't reply to them in chat or when they do the answer is not that clear. If you want people to buy ranks then you need them to like the server, but if you treat them poorly then they won't and they will leave. People without ranks are just the same as people with ranks. They deserve the same amount of respect just as people of different races do. Staff should really understand that just because you don't have a rank doesn't mean that you are poor.

There are a few things here I want to address.

Firstly, you discussed that you felt you were being punished for standing up for other staff members. The problem with this is that we first and foremost, as staff, need to keep a good image for players to follow. Even if players are being rude to staff, that doesn't give staff the right to be rude back. We need to act as role models.

Also, Cinder, there are other reasons for your demotion that you should be aware of, that were not mentioned here. A lot of info is left out in this thread, and it just paints all your actions in a positive way. Even to make this thread, you took parts of the private staff chat, which is not okay.

If that is the case, that is purely unintentional. For example, when players use /staff, we try to reply to all of them. Earlier today somebody had an issue with the tutorial, and they did /staff. Within 10 seconds Beastyhardy and CrazyDutchBoy were already there to help.

I see no sympathy by either side here, but I feel that the staff are being a bit relentless towards her. I understand it was an outburst towards a player, but we are all humans. It is not good to bottle up feelings and she at least released it in a more positive way than she could have. She is a good friend of mine, and I (Speaking for countless others) do not agree with the punishment and demotion she received. That is final!

If that is the case, that is purely unintentional. For example, when players use /staff, we try to reply to all of them. Earlier today somebody had an issue with the tutorial, and they did /staff. Within 10 seconds Beastyhardy and CrazyDutchBoy were already there to help.

Some of the staff will treat me like I know nothing about Minecraft and Havoc. I don't think that anyone would like to go on a server that makes you feel like you can't do anything. Maybe staff could be a little nicer and not make players feel bad about themselves.

Some of the staff will treat me like I know nothing about Minecraft and Havoc. I don't think that anyone would like to go on a server that makes you feel like you can't do anything. Maybe staff could be a little nicer and not make players feel bad about themselves.

Speaking as a staff member who's never had a donator rank, this isn't true at all. You have to realize that the staff do get bogged down with lots of requests and messages, so if we miss yours it's probably not intentional as @_Nickk said.

If you do however feel like staff aren't treating some players fairly because of their rank, PM me and we can talk about it.

Please do not talk about certain points and not the other points that are crucial in this whole ordeal. You have done some good things in this staff team I will admit this and you know this also. But you also know that you didn't in some other areas. I would like to see you calm down a bit maybe even take a break and stop starting these horrendous posts/threads that are not the whole truth and make other players believe in lies and make our job even harder. I don't know who you are referring to but we (I) will never ignore non-donator ranks in any situations. Neither would we ever give a worse answer to a non ranked play then to a donator. That makes no sense in my eyes that anyone would make a bad response just to certain players... If you need help or think something isn't right you may private message me or another higher staff member.
