I've said this once before and I'm gonna continue saying it till everyone understands. I started playing 2 years ago when there was no jugg and the server consisted of about 30 to 40 players. As the server began to rise every week, more and more people suggested they use diomand armor for something. Before they didn't use it because it'd be too OP and stupid in a game based on survival. The server then became very popular and many more people suggested diomand armor. Finally about a year ago it got added. It was awesome for a little bit because it was near impossible to get any pieces, and wars remained the same. But eventually the amount of jugg grew to, well you know how it is today.
I'm gonna compare the wars back then to the wars now.
-back then if u wore full riot you were considered "scary"
-No one cared about durability because if you screwed up and aloud yourself to get shot twice you were done, there was no chugging pains or your precious high armor points to protect you.
-it was all stealth and strategy. If you wanted to war in Atlanta you would be a dead man in seconds if you even stepped out in the open streets. You had to duck through alleyways and check if the coast was clear when crossing the street.
-An average person at war maybe had half a stack of pains? Maybe more
-If you were smart and stealthy and a good barret shot you could win just about any war
-The teams of 6 weren't that scary, yeah it was more than my team had, but that didn't matter back then. If you were smart enough you would hide until they decided to make their move and switch buildings or try and charge. Then the second they step in the open you would hecking light them up, usually taking out half or more of their team.
-Back then if you made a stupid mistake like stepping out into the open, thinking you were safe, you were punished. There were sharpshooters and snipers everywhere. Maneuvering around Atlanta was one of the toughest and scariest things on the server.
But what happened to all those smart players and sharpshooters, like myself, once jugg began to take over wars? Well I'll tell ya what happened to me. My team would pick a spot in Atlanta to sit when we got bored of holding Alexandria. We were in full riot as always ready for an intense war, we thought we could take some jugg guys on with our skill from the old days. I was watching down the CDC area from brick waiting for someone to come in from Berx. Finally some guy appeared in full jugg ( keep in mind I'm always building and this was a rare time I decided to play for once) The full jugg ran right out of his cover into the open. I thought Ha what an idiot he's screwed. I put two barret shots in him and he's still going so I kept shooting. I was still a pretty good shot and landed at least 5 or 6 consecutive shots in him before he made it to red. You can imagine how confused I was. If you ever pulled some move like that in the old days and tried to run out in the open like he just did you would be considered an absolute moron. But I suppose when your wearing full jugg and have 8 stacks of pains in your inventory, stealth then doesn't even matter, it'd just be a waste if time. Why hide from the enemy and sneak your way to a building if the enemy's barret shots won't even matter? You can stroll your way through death alley (that's what we called the streets of Atlanta) and not even be harmed. You might get shot by a barret 50 cal a thousand times but ah heck you're fine! Your armor did all the work for you. All you had to do was press "w" and walk forward while using your mouse to guide your movement. Wow! Good job dude! You are really good at PvP, I mean like wow you now have the authority to call someone "ez" you should be proud of your skilled work! What a tough job you have! All jokes aside the real sad thing is there's no one left like me who sees right through all the crap jugg wars and how "skill based they are". Take off the armor and that's your test, your REAL test if you are truly skilled. Every new player comes in and learns of these jugg PVP GODS and instantly worships them, and after a couple months of gaining in game cash they start buying jugg, and over time they become a great PVP GOD like everyone else. It's honestly pathetic. That's my take on jugg.
