  • Just how bloody rare does ammo have to be?!

I get it, it's a zombie apocalypse. But with such an emphasis on finding and using firearms you'd think that ammunition would be a tad more common, especially in military and police staches.

My solution would be adding randomly spawning ammunition boxes containing randomized types of ammo.

Do you even find difficult? You can find tons of weapons everywhere.
Unless your talking about pvp, since you can take care of walkers with a butter knife

No, I'm talking about the actual AMMUNITION required for the guns you find, I think it should be more common throughout TMD, not just PVP

Dunno, tbh I think it's pretty easy to find. The more absurd is finding tons of perfectly fine working guns in a zombie apocalypse, but it may varies depending on on the survivability difficult.
Personally I think TMD PvE is far from being a survival game, once you get the hang of it you can be pretty comfortable with your supplies, you just have to loot some key places and you're set for life.

then perhaps some extra challenges should be added, such as higher zombie spawn rates including hordes, having to build and maintain a semi-permanent settlement and finding potable water and edible food.

Yep, this is overly spoken throughout the forums but these updates are always about pvp changes (and then they're rolled back).
Also, being stuck at MC 1.8 is terrible, you are limited to a given range of items and blocks, while newer versions support a wide variety of ingame plugins, but they're also not interested in updating. My guess is that this server will be stucked in a giant arcade gameplay.

They need to update the server soon, they need to add new features, iron out some of the bugs and rework current features. I thoroughly enjoy playing and I fear for the server's survivability.

Havoc relies on vendors way too much in my opinion, and money makes the biggest difference in the game. There's no limit as to how much gear a player can buy, and players have the chance to get infinite money, meaning, well, 100,000 dollars a day is a lot. There, in my opinion, is no, real realism. Though I do agree with your statement, I think there could be a much higher emphasis on survival. A HEAVILY realistic TMD. Which, we most likely won't get just due to the current PVP community. It might be a little radical of an idea, but perhaps a whole other gamemode could be created, that relies on looting, surviving, and facing the elements. Though looting does actually have some fun in it, you can just buy ammo- taking away from looting. If we're going to have a series of vendors, I'd suggest actually having an economy. Auction houses, limited amounts of gear on the vendors, because this idea is useless if you can just buy a stack of ammo in under a minute, whereas it takes time to collect ammo from places.

I think a good solution would be changing the way you earn money, instead of just getting it from farming zombies/voting/ranks, I think you should either find it randomly in loot or as a reward for completing missions given by certain NPCs.
