Suuup guys. I've been in TMD a little less than usual because of fecal matter hitting the whirring blades of cooling at work, so ive had time to think. Smash 5 is coming out soon and I'm riding a bunch of overall hpe for new games, as well as how good of a year 2017 was for gaming. I came up with a question or two ive been asking around and I that I'd ask y'all. See what you guys think.
The main question: Besides Minecraft or Roblox, as I feel that's the majority of our demographic, what is y'all's favorite video game? If someone asked what game they're missing out on, which would you recommend as a top pick?
Some sub-questions would be what genre is your favorite? What other games do you recommend?
Personally my favorite is Mario Odyssey. It handles and controls amazingly and it rewards you for exploring. The game makers new how good Mario's movement was in the game, so they reward you for trying to push the game to the max.
All that being said, it kinda drew out something I kinda already knew about my preferences, but I love platformers. I recently picked up Celeste and GOD that game is good too. I also play a bunch of Smash Bros too, but on WiiU/3DS. However I found it on the Wii's installment of Brawl, and Subspace Emissary mode was mostly what I played. Again, a platformer. Open world games like BotW and Skyrim kinda intimidate me, and TMD is as close to an FPS as you'll see me play.
As for recommend games, I would suggest Mario Odyssey, Celeste, A Hat In Time, and Smash if you don't already play it.
How about y'all?
