As of right now, TMD only has cars and bikes. They are both pretty generic at the moment though. I think if we add more vehicles, tmd will gain more players. Dayz is trying to compete with havoc, and we know we are better, (Those nubs stole our models!) Its not really a contest, but more vehicles may bring in more players! Yes, it will take time but it will be well worth it.

    1. Tanks- So, if the world fell apart in a zombie apocalypse, the tanks dont just vanish. Yes, some would get destroyed. But army bases would probably have full functioning ones. You may say this will be too op/unfair. How epic would it be to drive up to prison in your TANK? Inside, you could still take explosion damage. it would take 8-12 tires, 2 batteries, and 2 engines to run. They will be pretty rare with a low spawn rate. (One every 5-10 minutes?) The tank would have the driver seat, who controls the cannon, the gunner, who sits next to the drier and can shoot guns (Only LMG to not be too op?) and 2 passangers.

    2. Trucks- This would be great for savior role plays. Imagine driving up to hilltop and loading up your truck. The truck would have the storage size of a duffle bag. it would be pretty much equal to normal cars as well. 2 people sit in front, and 2 people can shoot from the back. It would use the same parts as a car.

    3. Boats- These are not used much in TWD, but they are used some. What if you are doing a roleplay where you want to sail and go fishing? Now you can! The boat would hold 4 people, and you could drive around the ocean. It would take 3 batteries and 2 engines,no tires since it is not a land vehicle.

    4. Helicopters?- Yes, this may be too op. But, i have thought of some nerfs to balance it. First, you cant fly super high up. This eliminates air sneak attacks. Second, rpgs and tanks could blow up helicopters. The people inside can be shot and they take explosion damage. It would be pretty expensive though. It would cost 3 tires, 4 batteries, and 3 engines. It would be rarer than tanks. But, it would be faster than moterbikes.

I cant think of any other vehicles at the moment, but please consider adding these!

That title click bait though. xD However, I still believe these new vehicles should be added. Very nice detailed and great ideas thread. :D

Honestly, I think these ideas are pretty good. However, in a real apocalypse, I doubt everyone would just know how to operate a tank or pilot a helicopter just by getting into one. Maybe add rare manuals you have to read before being able to use a tank or chopper? Adding special kits that don't include much but one of those special manuals with a pistol and knife may help to balance the gameplay. For instance, a Pilot kit could include a flight manual with an M9 and a combat knife with leather pants and a leather jacket while an Engineer kit could include a Glock, a crowbar, and a tank manual.

What if.... we have a skill rating system that allows us to unlock "skills" toward a certain ability. Such as driving a tank or helicopter if you reach that certain level of "op-ness".

I like these Ideas but you should realise that adding vehicles to vanilla minecraft is a though challenge. But nonetheless if it is possible I would love to see it.

Also a vehicle that was not named yet. A schoolbus. A schoolbus would fit like 1driver and 20passengers.

But can you shoot from inside the school bus in the passenger seat? Maybe with a certain weapon, not tier 4.

idk if that is possible. but it's just a nice way to move groups around on pve servers for example.
Or on pvp servers you see a bus. start shooting at it 10+ people jump out xD

Maybe those kits are for ranks only though, and everytime you use a helicopter/tank th book is tooken out of your inventory? Idk
