After stage 6 or 7 its super slow damage, maybe half a heart every 1 minute.

Interesting. So there isn't a countdown timer anymore? Like, you don't die if you don't treat it immediately?

No, I liked when that was a thing like it had a timer and if that timer was up you would slowly start dying
