I've been thinking a while about how is the pace regarding our resources ingame and I can't find (even after this update) a good reason to be out there once you gathered your armor/weapon and supplies. Zombies are not a threat, you basically will only starve to death if you go full afk outside sz and/or get lost in the middle of nowhere without any place to wander (even though /maps can save you, if you can at least pay attention to some landmarks).
The economy is basically static, you'll only buy equips for pvping or if you die out there (which is rarelly). Everything that can be bought can be found out there, besides some minor stuff like barriers, flares etc.
We could achieve that by revamping the economy:
What if we could do more with our money? Don't need to be harsh like Dark Souls (even though it would be funny af).
Or we could do that by creating a more TWD survival game instead of a relaxing arcade:

We could achieve that by revamping the economy:
What if we could do more with our money? Don't need to be harsh like Dark Souls (even though it would be funny af).
- We could buy "fast travels" between main locations (for a cost). If someone decides to drive they'd need fuel, we can be pretty expensive or rare loot. Weapons would wear out, then it would need constant maintenance (from scavenged parts or trading with other players, which could decide to recycle their stashed weapons).
- We could have some different skins for armors as well. I'd love to create some customs armors. They could be a rare loot, or crafted by using ingredients. This would be a nice incentive to be out there, scavenging, trading with other players, disputing a looting area etc.
- What if could customize our weapons? The only useful thing is the scope, the aim sight is just aesthetics. It could improve the spray pattern. We could use some silencers to sneak attack but at the cost of damage penalty. We could use some gun slings so we could run with at full speed when using a heavy rifle. We could attach the flashlight and have it's effect, saving one slot at the hotbar if its needed. All of those could be lootable and/or crafted from scavenged parts.
- Maybe wearing a full set would give you a bonus. Riot would you less likely to get bitten. Militar would get a little buff in shooting. Leather would grant you extra speed.
Or we could do that by creating a more TWD survival game instead of a relaxing arcade:
- Fall damage could potentially injure your leg with a heavy slow debuff. You could use some pains for temp fix but eventually you'd need medical care. This would make all those medical items useful besides healing from pvp or cause you got afk and a zombie hit you.
- Heavy equipament would fatigue you. Instead of running and bunny hopping you would be slow as a turtle when under full jugger with a minigun. Light armor and pistols/smgs would grant you full mobility at the cost of protection and damage dealt.
- Now that the pvp is more balanced (and realistic) we could bring other aspects. The gunshots would give away your position, even for zombies. Maybe increasing it's spawning rate, what would be increasily difficult to shoot and remaining hidden. Crossbow would be a perfect item for it.
- We could have 'enchante' arrows, like regular minecraft. Poison arrows that would give you damage overtime. Or cripple you. Or bleed etc etc. We could craft those special arrows using lootable drops, for instance.
- Upgrading the zombies to be a real threat: increase dramatically it's health, a real zombie would not die by getting 3 body shots. A headshot would do an immense damage (almost one hit kill). Skeletons could spawn in groups in some areas as Saviors, doing heavy long range damage but with some sweet loots. Vindicators could be some heavy melee damage savior.
Well this were some ideas I've been thinking besides many others that me and other players have been talking. I'd love to hear what you guys have to say about it
