Ive posted a few times in discord but why not here?
Ive been considering an incendiary grenade launcher. the weapon would fire molotov type projectiles that have a longer "burn" time than regular molotovs. the weapon would fire in an "ark" much like an arrow from a bow rather than straight like a bullet.
ammo capacity) 1-6 shots
delay between shots) 1-3 seconds
reload) 10 seconds for a "drum" meaning all load at once, not 1 at a time like a shotgun
ammo) explosive canisters. no "delay" like with grendades or molotovs. they explode on contact.
note- to increase the specialty of this weapon the ammo would only be findable in military bags (making it slightly rarer than tier 5 weapons
flash bangs- explosive noise but instead of damage, causes nausea and slowness for 5-10 seconds much like pains.
tear gas- slowness and weakness for 5-10 more seconds giving an attacker an edge in melee combat
smoke grenades- creates a sustained tnt exploding animation for a few seconds preventing line of sight and cover to flee or attack. someone in the cloud.
--obviously the danger of these being spammed is high so perhaps only fire-able if the attacker is not combat tagged, them not being stack able and the fire time to be like 2-3 seconds to minimize the likelihood of spamming.
new gear could be brought in. A "gas mask" in some way lessens or negates the effects of both tear gas and flash bangs. armor is military level (tier 2 armor) only findable in military bags.
ballistic shield - gives slowness, able to fire handguns normally shotguns can be "hip fired" when deployed. It would take 1-3 seconds to deploy and put away the shield. In return it would offer 25% protection against firearms and 50% against melee weapons. sniper rifles are unaffected by the shields (they deal damage as normal)
these are just ideas to spice up the gameplay for those people that like ambushing their targets. and give explosives a reason to exist more in combat especially among newer players who dont know how to war well at all. I know these ideas would take a lot to create but i think they would add more "flavor" for those of us who prefer to not run up on someone guns blazing. these items would reward surprise attacks but still give the "defender" a fighting chance. let me know what you think
