If this thread continues any further, I request it becomes locked. Yes @NeilTyson, you are allowed to state your facts/beliefs (As long as it is respectful and appropriate) although as I may have said, this is a touchy topic and some people react differently to it. I'm sure you want to avoid drama so simply leaving the thread as this would be very nice. I'm hoping everyone else will discontinue the comments as well, thank you. :)

So if people ask more questions about tmd/hn/bw/mw this thread will be locked?

This unnecessary locking of pretty much any thread you see drives me nuts. Is there really a need for a thread lock here too?

"If this conversation continues any further" <-- I said this hoping players would realize that if a touchy or bad topic kept going, an argument may be caused. Personally I find arguments lead to a form of bullying in the future depending on the situation so if I see a thread that could turn bad due to the comments, I will request a thread lock. :)

I'm surprised that "drives you nuts" @NeilTyson. I'm going to guess that is your "opinion" on my causally mentioned thread lock requests but some opinions cause issues :( so please notify me privately if you are confused by what I say, even in a less severe case such as this.

Yup! I will bust myths about TMD, BW, and HN or just answer FAQ's! Questions like:
    • Is it possible to _____?
    • How do I win _____?
    • Why does _____ happen?
Will all be answered! Just ask away!
What is the chance of getting bit by walkers while wearing full riot gear and never using a scope?
    accidentally asked butter lmao.

I've tried to avoid this thread, but after seeing Neil's disrespectful tone towards people I decided I would address him: Neil, you have the freedom of speech, yes, but that applies to a more general sense, such as public places, protests, and saying thing in public that you do or don't like.

However, on private property, and I've stated this in an earlier post, you are subjected to the rules of the owners of the property and rules they have as long as they don't break the law. A restaurant owner can have you arrested if you're talking about something in his establishment that he doesn't like. They will ask you to stop, then ask you to leave. After that you're trespassing and disturbing the peace. You can however stand on the public sidewalk outside the restaurant shouting your opinions. Although you might still be visited by the police for disturbing the peace.

The point is, this is a privately owned/rented server. The rules and what the staff say are law. If they say talking about the color red is against the rules and you can be banned for it. They are 100% able to do so without violating anyone's rights. When guest's come to my house, they leave politics, religion, etc. outside the door. I've escorted a friend to the door right in the middle of dinner because he refused to stop talking about a particular subject. I flat out told him to get out of my house. He tried the "freedom of speech" thing with me. "Not in my house you do," I told him.

You really need to tone it down buddy. You've been addressing certain people with a mean or arrogant demeanor that was totally uncalled for. You told me your age. You know how to express your opinion without being mean or insulting. Fact's can be stated with out having to have a bad attitude. What you should have done is just let it go and acted your age, bud.

What I've read on the previous pages is not the Neil that I've talked to before. And this really disappoints me. Sometimes, the right thing to do is the hardest thing to do, and it benefits others instead of yourself. An example would be letting this go with Polar's, "No politics pls." reply. Yes she said a meme but she explained how it's interpreted differently in her country. And yes, Polar has her way of telling people when she disagrees with them. But if you get to know her better you will find out she is a sweet and caring young lady. You should have just let it go even though you were filled with, whatever it was that consumed you. You would have taken a hit to your pride, but the thread and its posters would have been spared the collateral damage and fallout. And I wouldn't have to write another one of these posts.

When talking about the staff, you need to do it in a non-offensive way. If you feel certain staff members are not updated on certain information then say, "I think the new staff members need to learn more about the server. Especially in these particular areas..." This is feedback/criticism, and if you were more specific and kinder about it it might have caught a staff member's eye. But now, it's just another jab at the staff along with all the other jabs and stabs they get on a daily basis.

What respect I had for you is pretty much gone. If you want to earn some of it (as well as others), respect back you can start with an apology.

Sorry, I wasn't intending to be disrespectful. I didn't think I was being disrespectful. I figured people were merely upset that I didn't agree or that I can actually hold an argument.

This is good Neil. We all get frustrated and passionate about things we believe in or stand for. Ww can easily take it too far without paying attention. That's one flaw I myself need to work on, going "overboard." Just remember, the more polite and professional you sound and look, the smarter you sound and look (usually), and more likely the chance of people listening to you and even taking your side. You want people to like you or support you, especially when you need it. Look at Kattitude for example: You know how kind and polite she is to everyone. I don't think anyone can say anything bad about her, except she is too kind j/k :D Look at the support, followers, and friends she has. She didn't buy peoples loyalty with money or items. She did it with respect and politeness. You can command that same respect and politeness and use it as a tool for improvement and helping yourself as well as others, but only if you really want too.
