As I have played on the mining dead, I have noticed errors with the firearms. Don't get me wrong though, the server has very little errors. Here is a list of gun errors with proof:

1. The Winchester and R700 are bolt action, while they have been labeled semi-automatic.

2. The R700 takes on the skin of an L96 on the server, while the real R700 looks more like a sporting rifle. <-----------proof
3. The Steyr Aug is an assault rifle.

4. The distance drop for assault rifles is terrible. Sorry. The maximum effective range of an m4 carbine is about 600 meters. The ak-47s range about 200 meters. The G36Cs around 800 meters. All I beg is that the amount of drop will be lessened.

5. The speed/velocity of weapons besides sniper rifles is also in need of improvement. A NATO 5.56mm round travels out of the barrel at 2,256 feet per second. Only about 1,000 less than the Barret .50 Cal. (A 5.56 bullet would be used in an m4.

I feel like you're just thinking about it too much The guns are still pretty sick and the game is still fine. There is one problem tho, and it's throwing out your gun when you try to reload. And if we're getting technical, clips arent the same as mags

Yes, I agree. It just bugs me a little but the Assault rifles are the only real problem.

I feel like you're just thinking about it too much The guns are still pretty sick and the game is still fine. There is one problem tho, and it's throwing out your gun when you try to reload. And if we're getting technical, clips arent the same as mags

Try to shift and press Q, I don't know if that would helps in your situation but I was informed it solve some related problems.

You see the issue with the bullet drop is, this is a modded server, that I believe uses re-textured eggs as bullets. Everything you throw in Minecraft slopes down. So not sure they can change the bullet drop

This seems like a quick and easy update to implement. I hope they fix these gun issues.

While all these things are true it doesn't affect the game play. Why work on making the a game made of blocks realistic when you can work on fixing other game play issues like bike pvp.

Im pretty sure theres a command out there that makes projectiles never drop, correct me of im wrong

I pointed out that Steyrs were assault rifles in another post. I do know there is a LMG variant, but the reloading sound for the Steyr is the same for assault rifles, and if you drop and look closely at the light green part of the gun, you'll see that its a assault rifle clip.
