Is Negan really a villian?

Yeah I was hoping we would get a backstory episode this season... But probably won't be till 8A or possibly 8B.. I mean it better be in 8.

I'd say it'll be around 9 or maybe very late 8b. I think if they did it during all out war it would be rushed, so definetly not 7b or 8a. I believe the best way to fit it in is add it is by combining it with the episode where Negan meets or kills alpha (probably 90min episode) or by making it just a bottle episode for him. It's definitely something they need to save up, it's way too soon to see how Negan got to where he is now.
