    Hey guys,
In the time I play on Havocmc, I went quite often afk. For example, you must go eating, but you just let your Minecraft open, so if you come back you can just start playing again. But as far as I know there is no good way to tell other people that you are afk, except telling them before you go afk.
In my oppinion we need a command like /afk, which automaticaly writes back to a person, who wrote your name in chat, something like "Hey, I am afk at the moment, I will be back later".
The command could also change the name in tab to another color, so everyone knows they can not write with you.
The command could then change your name to another color and activate the afk message, for as long as you stand still. Maybe you could turn your head a bit, but when you move like half a block, you leave the afk mode.

There is already a /afk command. Its part of simple server infrastructure however it is only available to Mods and above. There reasoning for this I'm sure is good because if the right player could do /afk they might then know how to glitch it and do other things the staff frankly dont want. Not 100% tho just a possible reason.

Don't start spreading false information. And stop being so passive aggressive towards the server development team. When you say staff, in this case you are referring to the dev team. When you go about throwing shade towards the server, it doesn't make you look the best.

But that's contradictory to the point.

We limited many standard commands, yes, but that doesn't mean they were buggy, or we thought they would be subversive. The AFK command is simple, and essentially says you are afk until your player moves in any way. That doesn't seem to be a much of a problem. Of course, my knowledge about this stuff is not that in-depth, so I don't know whether or not it could be created to be used illicitly. The idea itself seems more effective, since he wants it so that you can ALWAYS tell that the player is afk, rather than only a one-time thing. I personally see no reason why we shouldn't add it, but that's up to the higher ups.

I didnt mean aggressiveness at all... everyone uses the same plugin for /afk so its not aggressive to the dev team to say that it might be buggy.

apologies if I took your message the wrong way.
But nonetheless, you specifically are known to be very passive aggressive in that sense, namely with the "do other things the staff frankly dont want" part, just me though. And, well, I could refer to another post, although it has since been deleted. As I said before, sorry if I took it the wrong way. Let's refrain from derailing.
