    Hello dear community!

    In this thread I want to present you a cool gamemode, that I think would fit in great on this server.

    So what is this gamemode about?

    In the gamemode OOTU survivors have to defend theirself against huge hordes of zombies, To win the game all 10-20 players have to cooperate :) and help each other (PvP is disabled). They have to survive 30 rounds, each round more zombies are spawning. The difficulty: The zombies are coming from every direction. Each map has a few big fences/walls and several small walls/fences. Most of the zombies will automatically try to pass the big wall, but there are a few zombies who are going for the small walls.
    If a zombie reaches a wall he will hit it (like a player) and the wall will take damage. Once the durability reaches 0, the wall will break :eek:. The players have to prevent this at all costs (at least for the big fences), Every fence (big and small) can be upgraded, this will upgrade will repair the fence AND increase the durability. A Lv.3 fence has also barbed wire, that is hurting the zombie a bit. A broken fence cannot be upgraded or respawned.
    For every zombie kill the player who killed it get a zombie soul. With these souls he can purchase weapons, armor and other items. The weapons, resourcepack and armor are the same as in "The mining dead". There are no legendary, tier 3 or 4 weapons or armor. On top of that there are no RPGs, and Molotow-****tails. Juggernaut or Riot Armor, Grenades are very expensive, because the deal splash damage.
    The game is over once the zombies killed a players in the game. All players that survive the 30 rounds will be provided with extra skulls.
    After every round, players get skulls and for each zombie kill they also get skulls (5 kills= 1 skull).
    There are a few kits, but every of these are unlocked for everyone for free.

    Additional features:
    During the game there can be certain random events just as big zombie hordes spawning, a lightning strike during a thunderstorm, a heavy zombie boss and more.
    During the game there are also optional quests and if they get fulfilled every players receives a small bonus, e.g. a medpack.
    In the shop players will be able to buy self-defending turrets that destroy the zombies, but they will will be expensive and they need to be reloaded with ammo.

    I really like this idea! It sounds really fun! This is very well written and describes the game mode thoroughly, which I really like since it helps you grasp the idea of the game mode easier, good job on this! But one thing, about how many zombies per wave, I think it should be: Players # x Wave x 2 = # of zombies. For example, if there are 5 Players, and it's wave 10, there would be around 100 zombies.

    Yeah that would make sense! I forgot to mention that this gamemode may be the best for 10-20 players In my opinion the amount of zombies should be: Amount of zombies= 3 x amount of players + wave^2

    So if we have 20 players it would be like this:

    Yes I did, now it just has to added and someone has to built maps for, but I applied as a builder :).
    Lag would be a MASSIVE problem for this, considering having 500+ zoms on the screen at once would instakill anyone who doesn't own an Alienware 19.

    Kits: how does ammo or health work? Is there a shop where you can buy meds and ammo, or do they just spawn somehow?

    I think the game should end when everyone dies, not when they get to the core. Top (x) amount of players get certain skull amounts.

    How will fences breaking be coded, and how will they know where to go if their objective is to get to the "house"?

    Sorry if there are errors, it's 10:40pm and I'm on my phone.

    Yes the amount of Zombies can be reduced ofc, but the weapons need to be lowered then.

    In my opinion there should be a shop where you can buy certain items, such as tier 1 and 2 weapons and medpacks, and food, and water and melee weapons.

    The idea that the game is over when all players died is better than then safehut my idea. But all players should receive at the end of each round a skull (or more) and the 3 players who survived the longest get a bit more.

    And Idk how coding works, but maybe they can like attach a villager to the fence and if he dies (he has more health than a usual one) the fence will break. If the players bought a fence upgrade, the villager gets healed and his health will be increased. An upgrade is avaible when enough players donated some zombie souls to certain person in the shop. If not everyone is donating some souls its hard to improve the fence, so teamwork is the major priority.

    I think for some of that stuff every 6 or 7 rounds a supply drop falls. although unless anti would be pretty common i dont think you should be allowed to get bit. and the zombies could spawn in smaller amounts of like 10 every 10 seconds or something and then it speeds up. and blockmaster why no tier 3 or 4 weapons and armor?

    Now that i think about it traps like fire traps and mounted machine guns on the wall would be cool oh and a mine field. and maybe add 1 or 2 sniper perchs

    I dont want tier 3/4 weapons either, because they are to strong to kill these zombies, I mean the team should cooperate, and not everyone with a strong shotgun for example killing all of the zombies alone. So yeah the main reason is, that these tools are way to strong.

    Yeah, ok you could turn that oft, but I would like it to be added, so that you have to calculate, howm much money I spent for food and how much for other gear? So you have to make your own decisions, but still being part of a big team.

    but what if there are very few people and all guns are 1 hit kill to the head. and i think there should be riot as it is not op i think 6-8 hits would kill you in riot.

    The game is only playable for 10 till 20 players, so it needs 10 people to start
