You can't shoot any faster by switching guns, tested it out. The exception to this would be the RPG.

I don't think the problem here is having a higher rate of fire, it's the fact that you can now have up to 9 times as much ammo capacity with ANY gun that worries me...

That doesn't seem like 95% to me Anyway, there are different kinds of zombies, you just need Optifine to see them. And there are kinda missions in the form of /challenges.

And there are kinda missions in the form of /challenges.

No, those are just things you can do when you have nothing else to do.
It doesn't immerse anyone in anything, it doesn't add any fun aspects.
It's just like side missions without a main quest.

Multiple skins for the same mob (this example being the zombie) require Optifine to be displayed properly, you aren’t able to do it with a regular vanilla client (to the best of my knowledge, might be wrong about this so if I am my apologies).
