I can't be the only one noticing this, can I?

Server and forum toxicity is getting bad. Real bad.
Petty arguing and stupid drama is pushing away the good players of this once great server.

Back then, it wasn't that bad. It was manageable. But now, it's just horrible.
I really hope those of you who love being *******s to others are happy. You're partially the reason Havoc is dying.

Peace out... not like saying that will make any sort of difference...

u are not the only one to notice... but it takes two to tango in an argument. If you want change, be the change. dont engage in toxicity. now im no means a saint here. I believe in mutually assured destruction. I wont start arguments, but someone calls me out, in most cases I will respond to kick em off their high horse.
however, I think the best think the best thing that can be done specifically for the forums is write up much stricter rules, including non toxicness, staying on topic with the original thread, calling out players without asking a legit question etc.

i'd convert this post to a poll and see how many would support stricter forums rules.

I'm starting to notice we're getting a community like Yom's, specifically their forum community. Every post has the same 3 players being complete jerks and causing problems for absolutely no reason. I wont name names, but we know who those three on Havoc are ;)

Sometimes I wonder where it all went wrong.. Where it actually went wrong.

I want to add since this toxicity issue lots of staff and well know members have "fallen", ruined, because they got involved in some flame wars and had to put their little bit into the problem.

I'd say that toxicity is an issue and is acknowledged by our community, and our administration. Though, we can't change our community as of right now, as the toxic players are literally the only ones holding it up. Yes, we should have more rules regarding flame and disrespect, but we shouldn't go as far as to permanently ban them. Though, the more the players get punished, the more they're willing to leave-
    more players leave.
With toxicity, it's not just players who are experiencing this toxicity who will be leaving, but the toxic players as well, and our player count drops in both ways. So, there is NO compromise. We lose players to toxicity, on both fronts. Without players, we lose income, and without income, we can't pay our bills, and when we can't pay our bills, we can't keep the server up and running well. I can't think off the top of my head a middle ground, or a way to fix this, but I'd like to hear your thoughts, and as I've said before, flamewars solve nothing, conversation does.

Please. I want to become a builder. Get infinite money. Reach 1000 player kills. SO MANY GOALS I HAVE NOT YET SCORED!

    Plz

As well, maybe not temporary bans (or any, better yet), as Rejante wisely pointed out. Maybe just filters..

Every server is toxic, 10 times more than this. That's not the reason why player count is dropping at all. I just think everyone is so sensitive it's actually kinda sad imo, get offline if you can't take someone being rude or joking around a bit.

Right now the server is a teetering building. Some people are adding bricks and pillars to it, hoping to keep it from collapsing.

    But is it working?

It's undoubtedly admirable for those to struggle and to shoulder the weight on their back. But is it logical?

The best way to enliven a structure like this is not fixing and mending all the gaps and holes. The best way to bring back a fresh, well-arranged server is to destroy the damaged ruins like amputating the infected limbs. After that, we can start reconstructing and building something new on top of what used to cause us troubles and bother us with hassles.

If I were you I would set myself apart from the current toxicity. I wouldn't bother myself for something like this, knowing there's little to nothing that I can do. Just take the upcoming update as a possible chance to reconstruct.

I don't care how much flame I get, but toxicity is HIGHLY centered on the forums, besides occasional arguments on TMDC, and roleplay raids, TMD doesn't seem that toxic at all on the servers, the toxicity is centered around the forums, so this post to me seems pretty useless.

Edit: And 90% of all the other players are sensitive snowflakes that can't handle the slightest criticism, if you've ever been on servers like, hypixel, mineplex, PVP servers, even creative plot servers, you'll see way more toxicity, so please get out of this made up fantasy that toxicity is killing the server, toxicity has a very small impact on the server, as most of the toxic players don't even bother being toxic to new users or even notice them, and usually only argue (>>ON TMD, THE SERVER ITSELF) When provoked unless its to another player they just fought, etc.

    Please think before you post.

People who can't turn off the game or leave the server, it is natural selection at that point.

Any minecraft server with pvp is bound to have toxic players. People may not like it, but that's just the way it is. Giving forum mutes for flaming/toxicity could be an option, but then everyone who gets punished will just say "it was a joke fam don't get so upset". Just deal with it for now

Yove I gotta disagree with you there XD. i'd say the server gets most toxic right after wars on tmd-1, after people lose their jugg sets things get pretty heated in global.

All joking aside (to address the forum subject) I agree that forums are pretty toxic but you can't really avoid it. Also there are much more toxic places... So @JT900 or anyone else that is mad about the toxicity I'd advise getting better at chat wars as they are a part of Minecraft multiplayer or, I'd suggest that you stick to single player, and go mine some diamonds or something.

It is dead but when there were wars on tmd-1 you could always count on the chat war right after where players would call each other trash or tell each other not to speak... those were the days...
