One thing that annoys me, but we can't do anything about is all of the players that do not view the forums and thus are uninformed about important topics and discussions that are happening here along with some of the same things they are doing or experiencing in game. Haxusations for example: We've been talking about that and good advice and insight has come from it. The problem is, they don't know about it and they continue to do what they do: Publicly accuse someone.
Earlier on some post somewhere I said that: The best way to catch or turn in a suspected hacker is to say nothing in game about it at all. To fill out a support ticket with the player's name, server it happened on, and what you think they were doing, hack wise. Also to get a quicker response, if you're allowed on TS, you could PM one of the helpers, mods, or admins about it. This is the best way to quickly catch hackers! Period!
As for people accusing staff of false or unfair banning: They can almost always see if a person is hacking or not. I won't go into detail, but I will say that they can watch any player's actions at any given time without anyone knowing it, and then some. People who are banned for hacking (duping excluded), are caught on video in the act. As staff have stated, "Players don't get banned without sufficient evidence." I think a video of a player speed hacking or knowing the location of other players is "sufficient evidence."
Also, what we as forum members need to do is to remind players that call "hacker," in game chat, why they shouldn't do it, and what to do about it. Remember, if a person breaking rules suspects that someone might be onto them, they usually start acting normal to avoid detection. Don't give them this warning! Let them think they haven't been noticed!
I decided to utilize the bold and colored text features. It's an experiment to see if people that skim posts see the really important parts, lol.
