Rules against Hacksuating keep the server in order. The staff do not want a bunch of people calling each other out and having a giant argument on the server. Also, the reason you were probably forced to look up at the ceiling was probably because of a glitch that was keeping you in place and keeping you from moving your head, sometimes this happens if you glitch into blocks.

One thing that annoys me, but we can't do anything about is all of the players that do not view the forums and thus are uninformed about important topics and discussions that are happening here along with some of the same things they are doing or experiencing in game. Haxusations for example: We've been talking about that and good advice and insight has come from it. The problem is, they don't know about it and they continue to do what they do: Publicly accuse someone.

Earlier on some post somewhere I said that: The best way to catch or turn in a suspected hacker is to say nothing in game about it at all. To fill out a support ticket with the player's name, server it happened on, and what you think they were doing, hack wise. Also to get a quicker response, if you're allowed on TS, you could PM one of the helpers, mods, or admins about it. This is the best way to quickly catch hackers! Period!

As for people accusing staff of false or unfair banning: They can almost always see if a person is hacking or not. I won't go into detail, but I will say that they can watch any player's actions at any given time without anyone knowing it, and then some. People who are banned for hacking (duping excluded), are caught on video in the act. As staff have stated, "Players don't get banned without sufficient evidence." I think a video of a player speed hacking or knowing the location of other players is "sufficient evidence."

Also, what we as forum members need to do is to remind players that call "hacker," in game chat, why they shouldn't do it, and what to do about it. Remember, if a person breaking rules suspects that someone might be onto them, they usually start acting normal to avoid detection. Don't give them this warning! Let them think they haven't been noticed!

I decided to utilize the bold and colored text features. It's an experiment to see if people that skim posts see the really important parts, lol.

I would suggest always having a recording software open?
Yes, Kooice, you are most certainly right in the way that the most efficient and easy way to get rid of cheaters is to use recording software such as Bandicam or OBS for mac (Bandicam is only for windows; I use mac -_-). But like I previously said in my post, which if you read properly you might have thought twice about writing your reply, not everyone has access to recording software... before I started using this macbook, I used to use an Acer laptop with intel graphics (kinda sucked XD). I could play Vanilla MC at a decent 30 FPS and maybe slightly higher, so actually playing the game (or server, however you want to call it) had no problems. The problems, however, occured whenever I tried to use recording software on my laptop. Whenever I started a new recording, it started recording for about a half a second and then completely froze (window didn't freeze, it's the recording that did). So, if this incident happened when I had the old laptop, I wouldn't have been able to record the hacker even if I tried. Not everyone has the good PC that some of us spoilt people have. Remember that I did make this somewhat clear in my original post.

That's really a rude response. Say sorry for you hackusating and move on, instead of whining about it like a 7 year old.

Well, the truth is: If you quietly report the player here: https://havocmc.net/support-tickets/open and/or PM a helper or mod on the forums or TS, and tell them you suspect a player of hacking. They usually will ask for the name and server (This happened in my case).
See, this is the thing I don't get: before I even started out the argument I noticed there was a helper online and PM'd them on MC (/msg) that I believe he (suspected cheater) might be hacking and you should probably keep an eye on him; however he didn't reply! I knew he wasn't AFK as he was talking to some other people online (he wasn't in a deep conversation so I knew that he couldn't have an excuse to do with being too busy to listen to my PM) and so I don't really understand exactly why he never said anything about it. Then again, this could be a one-off member of staff, as I do not disagree with the fact that you said most staff will usually ask for name and server. On the other hand, I don't want to go all personal as I think of all servers' staff as a whole, similar to a family: if one of them for example is bad at doing their job, then all of the staff members on that server's reputations decrease. But anyway, thanks for all the support you have given on this post, as well as all the advice: it will not only help me but a large amount of people.

I don't think it's support- you're in the wrong. The helper probably saw the msg and checked but didn't respond, or didn't see it.

That's really a rude response. Say sorry for you hackusating and move on, instead of whining about it like a 7 year old.
I have already stated that I totally understand about the fact that hackusating was against the rules, and as a result I got punished for it. My original post clearly states this:"Note: I do understand that Hackusating is in fact against the rules, and so i'm not complaining because I got the temp mute, but rather complaining because nothing was done in my favour.". Doesn't that mean that i'm not writing this whole post as a complaint about the fact I got temp muted? And anyway, I received my punishment, so why on earth should I say sorry for doing it after my punishment? I'm not causing any inconvenience with the staff; they're doing their job, and that only leaves the cheater to say sorry to. Do you really think I should go ahead and say sorry to him? Do you really want me to let him off, as if he wasn't hacking, which then makes the whole scenario even worse? My appeal in chat about watching over him gets ignored; then I get muted for hackusating (which I am NOT complaining about!); and now after my mute is over I have to go and say sorry to him? Pathetic. I repeat, that is PATHETIC. Let's turn some tables, shall we? I think YOU should be the one who moves on, instead of posting rude and snide comments about me wining like a 7 year old. Anyway, I can easily buy myself the gear I had before I died because I have more than enough money to do that. One of the biggest reasons that I posted this thread is to alert the staff to the fact that they might need more staff online, and also enable helpers to watch over certain suspects. I want to HELP the server. The last thing i'm doing is blatantly whining about the fact that I died to a hacker.

Oh my god that is a bug with the elavators
Not trying to be mean or anything here, but I believe that I stated in my original post:"while I was near the elevator (bear in mind that I did not press the button to go down), all of a sudden". To be honest, I did consider the fact that I might have got glitched in the elevator. But, I clearly remembered that 1) I had no intentions of going down the elevator (I was on the top floor if that helps) and 2) I wasn't on the carpets. But what really got me writing this thread is the fact that my crosshair was pointing to some part of the elevator wall (the elevator was on my right before I started getting glitched/hacked, whatever you believe happened) and while I was wondering what was going on, I saw the golden arrow entities fly from that part of the wall I was looking at right at me, presumably from a spas. Now, you might be like "this is rubbish, what on Earth is he actually talking about?!". I accept that. If you think this is real, then that's fine. If you think this is fake, that's also fine. I have no right to force you to change your personal opinions on anything. All I say is that you at least try to take my word for it, as I am most certainly NOT the type of person who would ever write hoax hacking event threads just to get attention. That would just be a waste of people's time. :p

first of all, *whining. Second of all, he is not hacking. I can personally share skype texts saying when he got banned, and how happy he was as he got out. You obviously ARE making a big deal about it and are DEFINITELY sad about your mute.

He is a hardcore, as well. Who spends 20$ and then hacks? If you were an adult about this, you would make a support ticket instead of saying that a glitch killed you, as well as the fact you DID deserve the hackusating ban. Do some research before saying "dis guy hax!!1"

There is NO reason to create a thread about this. Make a support ticket, even if your ticket is a waste of staff's time.

I didn't really need to read it, and honestly the forums is the wrong place to do this, we have support tickets for a reason.

I don't think it's support- you're in the wrong. The helper probably saw the msg and checked but didn't respond, or didn't see it.

This is exactly what they do. Out of sight out of mind. From my time around some of the helpers, they checkout every single suspected hack report they get. Even most of the haxusations in game if they have time, just to make sure. They are excellent multitaskers, able to chat on TS, voice chat on TS, talk in game, and make decisions on what to do. I wouldn't be surprised if they continued talking to people in game when they are tracking a suspected hacker. If they didn't reply it was because of two reasons: 1. They were having "tell hell" and old term back from my gaming days where you receive and huge amount of PM's in game. 2. They saw the PM, and took the appropriate actions towards investigating it, or getting another staff member too.

Try not to make assumptions so quickly. I know it's hard and I too, need to follow that advice for sure. It's good advice. And remember if you're unsure a helper heard you, do the support ticket on the site and report the player. I believe they read those particular tickets very often. And whether he wants to apologize for his haxusation is up to him. He doesn't really owe one. And even though these kinds of posts are really supposed to stay between the player and staff, they do provide a place for us all to share opinions and reminders.

Ok, so I've been troubled by Sonic's post, the idea of being shot through the wall. I believe him, so I decided a few moments ago to see if I could find real evidence that what he claims happened is possible. I do not like what I found and I will only be telling you enough info about it as needed. I went on google to see if a hack for MC existed. Obviously many of them do. I found more then one that one of the features is a see-through wall hack, and some with the ability to shoot some one through the wall. Now whether this software would work on TMD is unknown. But it is possible someone used something similar to do what Creeper described.

There are no shoot through wall hacks. Period. If they do work, it's an outdated client or not compatible with TMD.

Did I ever say that I managed to ban him? No. I said in my original post that I got temp muted, and nothing was done in my favour, meaning he didn't get banned at all. Think about it: If I managed to ban him, would I have made this thread in the first place? There would be no point at all as the issue would have all been resolved quietly between me, the cheater and the staff. And I am not the type of guy who would write a hoax thread telling of getting killed by a hacker, because that would prove that I am angry/upset about the fact I died on a video game. As for not achieving anything, how on earth do you make that out? What if this was unreal and I didn't get killed by a hacker? Even if I were to supply false information, which I have NO intention of doing, I am still helping the server by (possibly) alerting them to the fact that they might need to step up their anti-cheat methods. Funnily enough, you said nobody cares when actually you care because of the fact you have replied to my thread multiple times.

I have to agree with Sarge4id on this one. Since when have you been told that there are no shoot-through-the-wall hacks? Obviously you must have gathered that false information from somewhere; i'd be more than happy to find out where (maybe from a webpage or from a specific minecrafter). Until you can prove that no such cheat exists, I will most certainly believe that you are not telling the truth. And what's also to say that if said cheats do exist, that they will be either coded on an outdated client or incompatible with this server? You've just been nothing but trouble and hassle from your very first post on this thread. I'd recommend that you stay out of this for the time being, or until you actually have an open mind instead of being all closed-minded and insisting this incident never even happened and i've just made this thread for the fun of it. It would help me, as I don't have to argue with you anymore, and it would also help you, as you wouldn't have to try and think of a comeback every single time. Just think about it: what are you doing with this thread? Trying to make out this didn't happen. Is that going to help the server? No. What I am assuming you don't understand is the fact that even if I were to supply false information, which I would have NO intention of doing, this would still somewhat help the server by possibly alerting them to the fact that they might need to step up their anti-cheat methods. I'm actually trying to help the server out here, but obviously you cannot see that, and also you're most certainly not helping here.

"Make a support ticket, even if your ticket is a waste of staff's time." I have mentioned in previous posts, that I am NOT the type of person who tries to waste people's time by making hoax hack alerts. And the exact same thing applies here. Why would I make a support ticket if it's just going to be a waste of time? I believe that making a thread is a good idea as it allows anyone to contribute and make suggestions about the issue.

I understand exactly why you're trying to make out this incident isn't real. You have probably shared contact details on Skype and/or are friends in real life. In other words, you're biased. Very.
