But how does this connect to tmd..?No Man's Land, for instance: It's a top down strategic turn-base mobile game that pretty much only features Daryl, and he's just a tutorial guy.

Those are spinoff games, however- gun skills have literally NO CONNECTION to any part of the walking dead, in any way.You said that gun skills doesn't connect to TWD, but there are official games that don't connect completely to the TWD universe, so gun skills do have a chance at being implemented in TMD.
So, I've already brought this up twice. People recognized this, but higher staff will not look into it for whatever reason.
Add silencers.
They're in the show a lot.
They would bring stealth to a new level.
They would be functional.
Make bullets hearable from 200 blocks.
Silencers bring that to 10 blocks.
They also bring down the damage of the weapon you're using by 15%.
Buyable from Daryl for 1,250.
This could go in hand with some kind of walker noise system. Sprinting and shooting can attract more and shifting or using melees can attract less. It adds a higher level of realism, especially when I'm shifting in a war and 15 walkers come outta nowhere and start eating me.
These would be put on most weapons, including:
-All pistols
-All snipers (50cal dmg reduced to 11 w silencer)
-no shotties (of course)
-ak-47, M4C, and 36C
-m60
-no smgs
I hope you upvote these suggestions, and hopefully the HavocMC devs add this.
Drop dem comments below!
I know this would be a large project, but it would be worth it for such a large feature.
I have no idea what you said.FYI """suppressors""" as they are properly called do not reduce a weapons damage only mil spec sup sonic ammunition does that as it has no sonic bullet crack and its dead silent but as a result of that it has less range. suppressors only muffle the sound as regular ammunition is still super sonic which means that from a distance you can still hear the crack of the shot going of just muffled and not as distinct as it normally would be.
thus id up the audio range of suppressed guns from 10 to between 15 - 20 blocks
Subsonic vs. Supersonic Ammo Suppressed Shooting
Well thanks for the input!Yea sorry what I was trying to say was that only "sub sonic as in slower than the speed of sound" ammunition travels slower and has less range & damage as it has less initial velocity and speed when fired. Ammo like this coupled with suppressors is the only way you will get dead silent shots out of your gun.
However regular ammunition travels at super sonic speeds thus the bullet makes a cracking noise when it breaks the sound barrier so even with a suppressor on your gun people would still be able to hear the super sonic bullet crack from a distance. The initial sound of the gun discharging "firing" is only muffled by the suppressor making it sound less distinct.
Thus seeing as TMD takes place in the walking deads post apocalyptic universe things like military special forces grade sub sonic ammunition would be very very hard to find leaving only regular civilian and military super sonic ammo being available as it is the most commonly used in the continental United States before the initial out break of the parasitic walker virus and the world went to **** so to speak.
This is why imo to better reflect this ingame using your idea id change the suppressed guns audio range from your initial ideas 10 blocks to about 15 - 25 blocks instead. and yea sorry about the confusing earlier comments i was way too drunk last night man -_-
thats not appropriate for 11 year olds like my self young man and ha ha hayea not so great i mixed Canadian whiskey with polish vodka ..... not a good mix tbh >_<

Well, the pistols in the game can all have silencers, including the revolver. It takes a special kind of modification or revolver but they've used them since ww2.The smg in the game can all have silencers attacked to them. The mp5 has a quick-detach muzzle for a silencer as does the uzi and p-90. The m-4 carbine may be fitted with a silencer however i've never seen an m-16 with a silencer before. The g-36 can have the addition of a silencer as can the ak-47 with a barrel replacement. As for silenced marksman rifles and sniper systems the 700 can have a silencer on it. The m14 battle rifle definitely can be made to fit a silencer. The barrett has had silencers on it before but there is really no point to it as the marksman or sniper is so far away that they can usually avoid detection.
As for shotguns, it is possible to silence a shotgun to the point that a .22 can make a bigger "bang" in an indoor range. It's very impractical as it requires replacing almost the entire barrel of the shotgun with a silencer. It looks very ugly and would require more maintenance than usual. Also you could not use buck shot and have a spread effect. It would basically be an in game m-14 that used shotgun ammo. I've only sold two silenced shotguns for clients: A saiga with an extended box mag and an srm hicap rotary-mag combat shotgun. But just to clear things up, the right type of shotgun can be suppressed if you use a load such as slugs, for example.
I also have major complaints about the weapons and the tiers they are listed as. Such as the AK being T4 and the G36 being T3. Anyone that knows anything about guns knows that the germans make some of the best combat firearms. Someone in charge of assigning those guns tiers and stats needs to find someone with intimate knowledge of firearms, ballistics, and the like. I wonder who that could be?
I can't tell whether this is criticizing myself or not..Well, the pistols in the game can all have silencers, including the revolver. Did I do a damn good job?
*slow claps it out*Well I'd like to call it educational feedback. Being an avid firearms collector, NRA member, a smith and custom designer, loading all of my own ammo, having fired more different types of firearms than I can remember, having fired and handled military firearms such as the rpg7, ak47/74, svd, akm, pkm lmg, g36, mp7, mp5, m4, m16, m28 (r700), barrett .50cal amr, a mounted mini on a uh-60 (I was allowed to "test fire" it), at4, law, vehicle mounted m2 .50 cal browning mg, m249 lmg, and a few other not counting pistols.
My unit along with a lot of others were tasked with securing hidden weapons caches in iraq. We found more than anyone else in the army combined. Sometimes, we'd use some of the weapons we found before turning them over. I carried and used and ak74 with a folding stock for a few hours. Also we did some naughty things that we weren't supposed to do. Like going somewhere unpopulated and everyone getting to shoot the stuff we had acquired. Thats where I got to fire an rpg twice, some aks/akm, pkm, svd, re-captured laws and at4 anti-tank launchers we had given Saddam a few decades ago. was trained to operate the m16, m4, m249.
A sniper buddy of mine let me shoot his m28 and I got to fire a barrett .50 cal amr as well. A ranger unit was present at one time and they let some of us try out the spec op stuff they get to use at the range. Abrams, Bradleys, and several other armor crews carry smg's instead of rifles or carbines. They're usually variants of the mp series by hk.
Also, I own a lot of pre-assault weapons ban firearms such as mac's, tec's, a mini uzi, and a few others. I have acquired the collections of my grandfather, several uncles, and my own father. They turned over a number of firearms but kept some because they felt that the 2nd amendment was being violated. I also go to gun shows where I get to shoot and buy new weapons. I also own many suppressors or silencers as well. Where I am, they are perfectly legal to purchase and own. I even sell them sometimes but they cost more than a lot of nice handguns do.
That being said...I felt like I wanted to educate (in a non-insulting way), and clarify some of the assumptions that several posters have/had about particular weapons. The in game weapon tiers, themselves, are acceptable. But the weapons that are in some of those tiers do not belong in the tier they're assigned to. As a "gun nut" this really annoys me. I constantly comment on it ingame. From what I know of the programming and mods I hired someone to do for one of my servers, make a gun mod, a lot of the info is stored on config-like files and can easily be manipulated. If I am correct about this, weapon models and their visual icons ingame would need to be switched around like musical chairs. No need to remove or rebuild a chair. Just have another person sit in it, for example. One of my biggest annoyances is the ak being a t4 weapon over the g36. That is a red flag and if I had put that on my server I'd fear the wrath of someone that knows better, seeing it. Basically, it would show I know nothing about certain firearms and that I should have consulted someone that did.
Don't get me wrong, I really like tmd and mw the way they are. They are the best in their class. But I would like the RPG to work. It should be very expensive and the ammo cost about 1k per. And maybe you could only carry 5 rocket grenades on you at any given time. Same for grenades, 6 max and that is pushing. The flamer could be made to fire a much much more narrow "stream" of fire. You would basically paint your target with it. Right now it acts like a firework. I don't know if the flamer's spread was intentional or a lack of knowing how it should operate.
My intent here is not to put anyone down or try to make anyone feel stupid. I'm sorry if I come accross this way. My intent is to try and get these things changed or fixed so that they behave more like their IRL counterparts. In the tv show, they use some of these weapons. Even though they're firing blanks, the body damage that it does to the actors/stunts is pretty realistic. they have consultants from the civi and mil areas that know and have probably seen the damage an rpg can do to a person. I have. They have a lethal radius just like hand grenades, but it isn't like a stick of tnt going off that takes out 10 block or more. The standard and most common RPG rocket propelled grenades were originally designed with a shaped charge to to help penetrate a tank's armor so most of the blast is frontal and not off the the sides. It could be turned into an expensive and powerful weapon in the game but have a limited blast radius as it does IRL and thus not be too OP
I know as mostly youth, you don't care about this kind of logic or whether it behaves like a IRL counterpart. You just want a cool looking gun to shoot someone with and to me the guns in their tiers are based off of media popularity they receive and not their actual performance. For example, no one carries a desert eagle as an issued sidearm or a personal sidearm. I've owned one and I sold it after shooting it once. The gun is very heavy and has to be carried in a rig. The ammo is more expensive than .45ACP, so you mise well carry an m1911 single stack magazine. But for all intents and purposes, it is a powerful weapon and a cool one at that. So I have no complaint about it staying in the game.
I figure the devs are all so super busy with MW that they won't take the time to change these things. I guess that's ok for now because I've tried out mine wars and I want them to put the costumes and stuff in the store already! lol! I'm an epic sith fan. Can tell you their entire history from the very first fallen jedi knight that started experimenting with taboo force abilities. Also a big fan and expert of the Star Wars weapons. All the parts required to build a lightsaber, What kind of energy cells jango fett's blasters used. The actual weapon (not really a weapon), they used to make boba fett's carbine. Did you know e-11 blaster rifles are sterling smg's? They do got the dark saber that was from the clone wars in the game which really impressed me. The sith also used to use solid swords in combat against jedi with lightsabers. Their swords were indestructible. The reason why Kylo Ren's lightsaber has a fluctuating blade because the kyber crystal is cracked. This actually cause more damage then a stable lightsaber blade, but the extra heat created must be shunted. His hilt is also based off of an ancient hilt back from the scourge of Malachor V. I do wish I could be a consult on the MW team.
